Coconut tree is a large palm growing up to 30 meters tall and with pinnate leaves 4–6 meters long and pinnae 60–90 cm long. old leaves break away cleanly, leaving the trunk smooth. Coconuts are generally classified into two general types.Tall and dwarf.A tall coconut palm tree can yield up to 75 fruits per year, but more often yields less than 30 mainly due to poor cultural practices.

Botanically, the coconut fruit is a drupe not a true nut. Like other fruits it has three layers: exocarp, mesocarp, and endocarp. The exocarp and mesocarp make up the "husk" of the coconut. Coconuts sold in the shops of nontropical countries often have had the exocarp (outermost layer) removed. The mesocarp is composed of a fiber, called coir, which has many traditional and commercial uses. The shell has three germination pores (stoma) or "eyes" that are clearly visible on its outside surface once the husk is removed.

A full-sized coconut weighs about 1.44 kilograms . It takes around 6000 full-grown coconuts to produce a tonne of copra.

The endosperm is initially in the nuclear phase of development within a hollow interior space as coconut water and air. As development continuesit matures into its cellular stage, and forms a rind of tissue known as coconut meat. Immature coconuts likely more coconut water and less meat. They are often sold with a small portion of the husk cut away to allow access to the coconut water. Young coconuts used for coconut water are called tender coconuts. The water of a tender coconut is liquid endosperm. It is sweet with an aerated feel when cut fresh. Depending on its size a tender contains 300 to 1,000 ml of coconut water.Within the shell is a single seed. When the seed germinates, the root (radicle) of its embryo pushes out through one of the eyes of the shell. The outermost layer of the seed, the testa, adheres to the inside of the shell. In a mature coconut, a thick, albuminous endosperm adheres to the inside of the testa. This endosperm or "meat" is the white and fleshy edible part of the coconut. Although coconut meat contains less fat than many oil seeds and seeds such as almonds, it is noted for its high amount of medium-chain saturated fat. About 90% of the fat found in coconut meat is saturated, a proportion exceeding that of foods such as lard, butter, and tallow. There has been some debate as to whether or not the saturated fat in coconuts is more healthful than other forms of saturated fat . Like most nut meats, coconut meat contains less sugar and more protein than popular fruits such as bananas, apples and oranges. It is relatively high in minerals such as iron, phosphorus and zinc.

Short History Of Sugarcane:

Sugarcane is any of six to 37 species of tall perennial true grasses of the genus Saccharum.Sugarcane measure two to six metres tall. All sugarcane species interbreed and the major commercial cultivars are complex hybrids.

A sugarcane crop is sensitive to the climate, soil type, irrigation, fertilizers, insects, disease control, varieties, and the harvest period. The average yield of cane stalk is 60to70 tonnes per hectare per year. Sugarcane is a cash crop but it is also used as live stock fodder.

Some sugarcane varieties are known to be capable of fixing atmospheric nitrogen in association with the bacterium Glucoacetobacter diazotrophicus. Unlike legumes and other nitrogen fixing plants which form root nodules in the soil in association with bacteria, G. diazotrophicus lives within the intercellular spaces of the sugarcane's stem.

Care Of Natural Tree:

Never fertilize trees with chemical fertilizers. Use only certified organic products.
Trees require regular watering. Use a drip system whenever possible.
Always use filtered or solarized or well water. Never use chlorine contain or some other chemical that can poison the trees.
Raise the energy level of the tree thru the addition of compost rich in trace minerals and bacteria. Trees love rock Dust.
Don't cut down trees.
Protect trees from dogs. Dog urine is very acidic and will injure the tree's root system.
Cultivate the soil regularly. The soil will get packed so that water and air may not reach the roots. While you do not need to turn the soil over, it would be good to use a pointed tool to punch a hole into the ground at least 1 or 2 feet deep. This will allow air to reach down as well as by placing compost into it, also allow nutrition to reach root systems. Tree vents are excellent for this use.
Do not poison the soil. Avoid spilling gasoline, paint, salt etc...
Remove any tight wire supports as this will strangle the tree as it grows.
Plant ground covers. They make a great living mulch which conserves water.
